Job Description:

The primary objective of the Project Manager is to oversee multiple manufacturing and design projects by working alongside team members to ensure successful deliveries that meet all schedule, budget, technical, and quality requirements. This person will bring high-energy and great communication to drive accountability and help foster relationships with team members.


  • Manage manufacturing and design projects from start to finish; ensures projects are on time and on budget
  • Create and maintain Master Project Schedules based on workload and resource availability
  • Facilitate communication and provide structure for project coordination and tracking
  • Drive project accountability to engineer, quality, manufacturing, and purchasing departments
  • Mitigate project risks; identify and resolve project issues
  • Drive department stakeholders to define strategies and deliverables
  • Organize and schedule project meetings regularly to ensure schedules and timelines are being met
  • Create achievable goals and milestones per project plan
  • Aid other operations departments in resource and scheduling
  • Manage and communicate project scope changes to customers
  • Hold customers accountable during project, design, technical, and contract reviews
  • Participate in proposal and estimate reviews
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and coworkers as needed
  • Request quotes as needed to support projects
  • Author and compose project support documentation per requirements as necessary


  • 4-year degree from an accredited institution in Project Management, Business, or equivalent discipline OR appropriate combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 5 years experience (10 preferred) overseeing multiple projects as the project lead
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with Military or Defense contracts
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) and/or Agile certification (CSM, PMI-ACP) is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of custom metal fabrication or precision machining
  • Intermediate knowledge of project management concepts, tools, and activities, including, Office 365/2016 (SharePoint, Skype, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Visio)
  • ERP/MRP software experience preferred
  • Proven ability to manage projects varying in complexity under strict contractual constraints using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of personal ownership and accountability to consistently deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills; demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Self-Starter, Self-Motivated
